Driving Standards Agency. They have the responsibility for setting standards and conducting theory and practical driving tests. They are also responsible for the statutory regulation of driving instructors and trainers.

QEF Mobility Services offers expert assessment, advice, information and tuition to allow people with disabilities of all ages to achieve independent mobility as drivers, passengers, scooter and wheelchair users. The centre also trains approved driving instructors and professionals to teach disabled people and the elderly to drive. Over the years QEF has developed its services, often ahead of the times, but always in line with the changing needs of disabled people.
QEF also provides the training needed to certify driving instructors in the teaching of disabled drivers.
The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to exchange either their Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance or their War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement to obtain a new car, powered wheelchair or scooter, and to obtain possible assistance with financing for driving lessons and training with adaptions.
The Pass Plus scheme is aimed at newly qualified drivers to help them develop better driving skills. Your ADI will help you complete the six training modules to pass the training course. Pass Plus consists of six modules about driving in different conditions, these are: in town, in all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways, and on motorways. All subjects must be completed successfully and no further test is required.
